DAWN
Swirls of fog,
Misty sky,
Birds a-fly.
A beautiful morning,
The nightingale is
singing,
A splash,
And a crash.
From the water jumps
a fish,
Which a fisherman
sticks on a dish
Then the sun appears,
The clouds disappear!
The morning dew,
Seen by few,
Except for the ant
crew,
Walking in a line,
Working even on a
morning so fine.
A foot comes near,
The ants disperse
quickly in fear!
A lotus in bloom,
In the water’s gloom,
The leaves sway,
The wind showing them
the way.
The squirrels join in
the fray,
Squeaking and
creaking,
Tapping and slapping,
Their nuts in their
paws,
Which they silently
gnaw,
In the corner sits a
fawn,
On the bright green
lawn,
Watching, like us,
the beauty of dawn!
